Synopsis:
At 2:00
a.m., today, the Active Low Pressure Area (ALPA) was estimated based on
satellite and surface data at 760 km East of Hinatuan City (9.3°N, 133.8°E)
embedded along the Intertropical Convergence Zone affecting Southern Luzon,
Visayas and Mindanao.
Forecast:
Metro Manila will have
experience mostly cloudy skies with possible occurrence of rainshowers or
thunderstorms in the afternoon or evening. Light to moderate winds blowing from
the Southwest to Southeast and Manila Bay will be slight to moderate.Occasional moderate to heavy rains ae expected over Eastern Visayas and Caraga which may trigger flashfloods and landslides. Light to moderate rains will be experienced over Southern Luzon, the rest of Visayas and Mindanao. The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with possible occurrence of rainshowers or thunderstorms in the afternoon or evening. Moderate yo strong winds blowing from the Southeast will prevail over Northern Luzon and its coastal waters will be moderate to rough. Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the Southwest to Southeast with slight to moderate seas.
