PAGASA - Weather Forecast as of September 17, 2012


Synopsis:
At 4:00 am today, a Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated based on surface and satellite data at 400 km Northeast of Basco, Batanes (22.0°N ,126.0°E) moderate to strong Southwesterly windflow prevailing over Southern Luzon and Visayas. 
Forecast:
Metro Manila will experience occasional light to moderate rains and thunderstorms. Moderate to occasionally strong winds blowing from the Southwest will prevail and manila bay will be moderate to occasionally rough.


Occasional light to moderate rains and thunderstorms will be experienced in MIMAROPA, Bicol Region and Western Visayas. The rest of the country will have partly cloudy skies with brief rainshowers or thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon or evening.

Moderate to strong winds blowing from the North to Northwest will prevail over Northern and Central Luzon and coming from the Southwest over the rest of Luzon and Western Visayas and the coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough. Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the Southwest with slight to moderate seas.
