Eva Longoria is to open a steakhouse for women.

The former 'Desperate Housewives' actress is planning to re-launch her Las Vegas restaurant Beso and Eve Nightclub as a female-friendly meaty eatery, which will feature a catwalk, cryogenic fog, rain curtains and 3D projection mapping.

According to local website Vegas Seven, Eva is naming the new space She and the 37-year-old star wants to celebrate the new restaurant by throwing a huge New Year's Eve (31.12.12) launch party at the food establishment, which is also due to include an outdoor patio twice as large as Beso's.

Chef Todd Mark Miller - the former chef of STK Las Vegas Steakhouse at the Cosmopolitan Las Vegas, which is also aimed at ladies - will develop the menu for the steakhouse, which will be located at the Crystals area in the CityCenter Las Vegas shopping and hotel complex on the city's famous Strip.

What's more, the restaurant will boast tiered seating around a central dance floor and have a 1920s theme complete with sexy female performers a la Cirque du Soleil, according to food blog Eater Vegas.

French fries are sure to be on the menu at Eva's new restaurant after the brunette beauty recently admitted that while she tries to eat healthily she can't help indulging in the potato-based calorific treat now and again.

She explained: ''I do have confidence in my self-image. It's all about food and exercise - I don't really eat a lot of carbs.

''I did two months recently without sugar too. And once you start paying attention, everything seems to contain it. It's like, 'Oh my god, even this banana is sugary.'

''[But] I do love French fries.''
