Synopsis:
At 4:00
a.m. today, the eye of Typhoon "NINA" was located at 700 km
East of Calayan Island, Cagayan (19.2°N, 129.2°E) with maximum sustained winds
of 140 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 170 kph. It is forecast to
move West Northwest at 7 kph.
Forecast:
Bicol Region, CALABARZON, Visayas, and Mindanao will have occasional light to moderate rains or thunderstorms. METRO MANILA and the rest of the country will be partly cloudy with brief rainshowers or thunderstorms.
Moderate to strong winds blowing from the North to Northwest will prevail over Luzon and coming from the Southwest over the rest of the country. The coastal waters throughout the archipelago will be moderate to rough.
