PAGASA - Weather Forecast as of October 14, 2012

Synopsis:

At 4:00 a.m. today, the eye of Typhoon "NINA" was located at 800 km East of Itbayat, Batanes (21.7°N, 130.6°E) with maximum sustained winds of 140 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 170 kph. It is forecast to move Northeast at 5 kph. 

Forecast:

CARAGA Region will have occasional light to moderate rains or thunderstorms. Metro Manila and the rest of the country will be partly cloudy with brief rainshowers or thunderstorms.

Moderate to strong winds blowing from the North to Northwest will prevail over Northern and Central Luzon and coming from the Southwest over MIMAROPA and Bicol Region. The coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough. Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the Southeast to Southwest with slight to moderate seas
