Lindsay Lohan 'thought producers would pay Chateau Marmont bill'

Lindsay Lohan thought producers were going to settle a $46,350 unpaid bill that has resulted in her being banned from Hollywood's Chateau Marmont hotel.
Lindsay Lohan thought producers were going to settle an unpaid bill that has resulted in her being banned from the Chateau Marmont hotel.

Sources close to the 26-year-old actress have told TMZ that the 'Mean Girls' star was under the impression her 'Liz & Dick' producers were going to cover the $46,350.04 bill, which she racked up during a 47-day stay at the legendary hotel in June and July while she filmed the TV movie.

Lindsay is said to have been shocked to learn about the charges and even more surprised to hear that she is not allowed to return to the hotel until they have been paid.

But the blonde star is thought to be happy to cover the cost of the bill - which includes charges of $3,000 on the minibar and $686 on cigarettes - if her producers don't pick up the tab.

Chateau Marmont general manager Philip Pavel - who opted to waiver charges of $75 per day for the use of the hotel's laptop - wrote a letter to Lindsay detailing the situation.

In the note, which has been obtained by the gossip website, he writes: ''As you are aware from our previous correspondences starting on July 8, you currently owe the hotel a grand total of $46,350.04 in charges for your stay starting on May 30, 2012. I have enclosed a copy of your most up to date folio for your records.

''As we have made repeated attempts to resolve this pressing matter over the last few weeks without any resolution, I regret to inform you that we will no longer be able to extend any further credit for you to remain at the hotel.''
