At 2:00
AM today, the Shallow Low Pressure Area (SLPA) was estimated based on satellite
and surface data at 280 km Southeast of Davao City (6.0°N, 128.0°E). Southwest
Monsoon affecting Northern Luzon.
Forecast:
Northern and Central Luzon
and Mindanao will experience mostly cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and
thunderstorms becoming cloudy with widespread rains over Southern and Western
Mindanao which may trigger flashfloods and landslides. The rest of the country
will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.
Moderate to strong winds blowing from the Southwest to South will prevail over
Northern and Central Luzon and coming from the Southwest to West over Mindanao.
The coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough. Elsewhere,
winds will be light to moderate blowing from the Southwest to West with slight
to moderate seas.
