PAGASA - Weather Forecast as of September 1, 2012

Synopsis:

At 2:00 a.m. today, the Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated based on satellite and surface data at 1,040 km East of Northern Mindanao (10.0°N, 136.0°E). Southwest Monsoon affecting Northern and Central Luzon. 

Forecast:

The whole country will experience mostly cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms becoming cloudy with widespread rains over Eastern and Southern Mindanao which may trigger falshfloods and landslides.

Moderate to strong winds blowing from the Southwest to South will prevail over Luzon and coming from the Southwest to West over Mindanao. The coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough. Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate blowing from the Southwest to West with slight to moderate seas.
