Jennifer Hudson and Celine Dion to perform for Whitney

Jennifer Hudson, Usher and Celine Dion will perform at a special concert to pay tribute to Celine Dion next month.

Jennifer Hudson, Celine Dion and Usher will pay tribute to Whitney Houston in a new televised concert.

The trio will be among a number of stars taking part in 'We Will Always Love You: A Grammy Salute To Whitney Houston', which will air on November 16 on CBS in the US.

Never-before-seen footage of Whitney - who died in February at the age of 48 - will also be included in the concert, as will some of her biggest performances throughout her illustrious career.

Other star performers are to be announced and the special will be recorded at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles on October 11.

Jennifer Hudson performed just the day after Whitney died earlier this year, singing her song 'I Will Always Love You', and she is believed to have broken down in tears while rehearsing due to the enormity of the task.

Speaking at the time of her death, Beyonce Knowles said Whitney was ''the ultimate legend''.

She proclaimed: ''The loss of Whitney Houston is painful. I remember meeting Whitney for the first time when I was 15. She was the ultimate legend. The ultimate woman.

''Not only was she confident, poised, stunningly beautiful and intelligent, but she was sincere and kind. She took the time to make everyone feel like they were very important to her.''
