PAGASA - Weather Forecast as of September 26, 2012


Synopsis:
At 4:00 am today, Typhoon "LAWIN" (JELAWAT) was located based on satellite and surface data at 465 km East of Tuguegarao City (17.3°N, 126.6°E) with maximum sustained winds of 205 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 240 kph. It is forecast to move Northwest at 11 kph. 
Forecast:

Cagayan, Calayan, Babuyan and Batanes Group of Islands will experience stormy weather with rough to very rough seas. Ilocos Norte, Kalinga, Apayao and Isabela will have rains and gusty winds. MIMAROPA, Bicol Region and Visayas will experience cloudy skies with occasional moderate to heavy rains which may trigger flashfloods and landslides. Metro Manila, Calabarzon, Mindanao and the rest of Luzon will have occasional light to moderate rains and thunderstorms.

Moderate to strong winds blowing from the Northeast to Northwest will prevail over Central Luzon, Nueva Vizcaya and Quirino and coming from the Southwest over Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. The coastal waters throughout the archipelago will be moderate to rough.
