Synopsis:
At 4:00
a.m. today, the eye of Typhoon "NINA" was located at 1,050
km East of Cagayan (18.4°N, 132.8°E) with maximum winds of 120 kph near the
center and gustiness of up to 150 kph. It is forecast to move West at 15 kph.
Forecast:
Bicol region, Visayas and Davao region will have occasional light to moderate rains or thunderstorms. Metro Manila and the rest of the country will be partly cloudy with brief rainshowers or thunderstorms.
Moderate to strong winds blowing from the North to Northwest will prevail over Luzon and coming from the Northwest to West over Eastern Visayas and Eastern Mindanao. The coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough. Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the Northwest to West with slight to moderate seas.
