am today, the Active Low Pressure Area (ALPA) was estimated based on satellite
and surface data at 390 km East Southeast of Basco, Batanes (19.5°N 126.0°E).
Forecast:
Extreme
Northern and Central Luzon will experience mostly cloudy skies with scattered
rainshowers and thunderstorms becoming cloudy with widespread rains over the
Eastern section of Northern Luzon which may trigger flashfloods and landslides.
The rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated
rainshowers or thunderstorms.
Moderate
to strong winds blowing from the southwest to west will prevail over Northern
Luzon and its coastal waters will be moderate to rough. Elsewhere, winds will
be light to moderate coming from the southwest to west with slight to moderate
seas.
